This collection isn’t effect by Chlorine as the fabrication is made out of Polyester PBT and does not contain any of the elastane fibres within the fabric that are affected by the pool chemical Chlorine. The Nip Tuck Swim Women’s Chlorine Resistant Swimwear is made out of a Polyester PBT fibre that is unaffected by Chlorine. Chlorine is the chemical used to kill bacteria and control algae growth in swimming pools, hot tubs and spa’s. When your regular nylon/elastane swimwear is exposed to Chlorine it will gradually break down, the Chlorine chemical over time will corrode into the swimwear fibres causing the fabric to fade, become saggy, lose all stretch, gradually become see through and over time degrade. This deterioration starts to happen immediately but by the time we visually notice that our swimwear is degrading, it is too late to act as the elastic fibres within the fabric of our swimsuit have already broken down.

Dawn is the perfect lap swimming swimsuit shape with a stretch cross back feature and good front coverage which helps with the support of fast-paced lap swimming.

Why does my Chlorine Resistant Swimsuit feel different.

You will notice the difference when you first wear a swimsuit made of Polyester PBT. It contains no elastane—the fibre that gives regular nylon/elastane swimwear its stretch and makes it easy to get in and out of and sit sculptured against your skin. When you first try on a chlorine-resistant swimsuit, you'll feel like it doesn't fit—this is just because there's no elastance to give it the same stretch and ease.

Because of this lack of stretch, chlorine resistant swimsuits will never feel as comfortable when getting into or out of. However, if you are a regular swimmer and love to wear a swimsuit that will not breakdown, then a chlorine resistant swimsuit is the perfect option for you.

Buy your same size as you would your normal swimsuit size, if you are normally a size 10 in regular swimwear then you will be a size 10 in chlorine resistant swimwear. It will feel tighter to get the bather on, BUT once you have the swimsuit on, it will fit like a glove and the best part : will not break down over time.
