What are Swimwear Separates?

Since the Nip Tuck Swim brand started you have been buying our bikinis and tankinis as swimwear sets. Which means when you buy a Nip Tuck Swim bikini or tankini swimsuit you are buying the top and bottom together. With our new season collections, we are selling our bikini tops, tankini tops and swim bottoms as individual items.  

Separates mean that our tops and bottoms are separated, and you need to purchase your desired swim top in the size you want and then purchase the coordinating swim bottom individually if you would like a matching set.

You will notice a call out disc on the each of the styles that are being sold as separates – these say ‘TOP ONLY’ or ‘PANT ONLY’. Please take note of these call out discs as these discs highlight the fact that by purchasing this item you are NOT buying a complete bikini or tankini set.

Why We Made the Change to Swimwear Separates

Nip Tuck Swim has been selling our 2-piece swimwear in sets for a long time and during this time we have managed to maintain our affordability and ease of purchase by selling our swimwear as sets.   

BUT, we also heard you and have been listening to all of your comments. We have made the VERY BIG and Very WELL THOUGHT OUT decision to move gradually away from selling our bathing suits as swimwear sets for a few reasons.   

The first reason is because you asked. Yes, you have been asking for us to make this change and we have heard you. We understand that every body shape is different and so very few of us have the same size top and bottom. By selling separates we are providing you with more options for all your unique body shapes and personal preferences.   

Another reason to move to selling separates is that this now offers more choice for you. You can choose what top you buy and what co-ordinating bottom option. You also have the option to mix and match co-ordinating prints and plains or buy a tankini top and bikini top with one co-ordinating pant for a 3-piece set.   

The choices are endless when selling our swimsuits as separates.

How to Buy Separates in Swimwear

We recommend that you first pick your favourite bikini or tankini top. Some of us pick our tops by the style that has the most support for our cup size, some pick by our favourite tried and tested shape. For example, I’m a Louise bikini top wearer so I like to choose my new swimsuit based on this silhouette style. Others may go completely for a new season look and purchase a top and a bottom from our new arrivals only. The choice is yours and there’s no right or wrong way to do this!   

Once you have selected your bikini top (or pant) and are happy with your selection - select your size. Once you have done this you will notice that underneath the section where you choose your size on our website there is a ‘Complete Your Set’ section. Here, you’ll be shown the perfect bikini bottoms (or tops) to pair back with the bikini top (or pant) you’ve chosen. And then you can choose the best swim pant (or top) for your style, whether you like more or less coverage/support.   

To add both your desired top and bottom to your cart, simply choose your size in the dropdown underneath the pant or top you like in the ‘Complete Your Set’ section, click on the plus sign on the top right of the item in this section and then click the add to cart button. This will add both of your desired items to your cart at the same time. See below for a step by step guide!   

Alternatively, if you like to browse like me, you can also add these items into your cart separately by browsing through our collections and adding to cart as normal.

Nip Tuck Swim’s Guide to Purchasing Swimwear Separates

See below for a step by step on how to purchase our separates as sets.   

1.     Click into a product you like (either a bikini top, tankini top or swim pant).

2.     Ensure you have selected your correct size. BEFORE you click add to cart, take a peek at the Complete Your Set section above the add to cart button.   

3.     Browse through the products here and select your size on the product that you want using the drop down underneath that product.   

4.     Click the plus button on the top right-hand corner of the product you like and then click the add to cart button below it to add both of your desired products to cart.   

And that’s it! You have successfully built your own swimwear set.   

Alternatively, you can also browse through all of our tops and bottoms and add them to cart separately like normal – we just wanted to make this as easy as possible for you!

All of our swimwear separates , and depending on the styles, are available in sizes US 4 - US 14 and sizes AUST 8 - AUST 18.
