Floral
Florals in Spring, yes I know it seems like everyone does it, but there is a reason as well! Let me tell you!
There is that feeling that you get as soon as you set foot outside in Spring, everything is bright and blossoming especially after you watch a storm roll through. The natural colours of our beautiful world seem so much brighter and the fresh smells of the flowers (my favourite is when you get a strong soft smell of star jasmine walking down the street) are fresh and clean.
Spring is the time where you can lay out in the sun in your swimsuit and it is not so hot you feel like you may melt! Do your kids still have an afternoon nap? That is the perfect time to lay in the sun, that is an uninterrupted time! Traditionally Springtime does push you to floral prints, it pushes me because I am inspired by all the natural colours that surround me. I am inspired by the fresh cut flowers that you can buy at the Saturday morning markets (trust me, it is the perfect way to brighten your home). Now I can already here my allergy prone friends hating on all this talk about flowers, I apologise, I really do, but I love flowers too much to not mention it!
There has always been this voice in my head that tells me that you can’t go wrong with a floral print (I am hoping everyone has that voice and I am not just a little bit crazy). Whether it be a classic multicoloured floral, or a two toned floral like our bestselling Mono Meadow print design, it’s the perfect time to bring out that floral swimsuit. If you do not have a floral bathing suit sitting aside just waiting for spring to hit, do not worry, we have you sorted!
Especially with our new Sakina design, it is a perfect combination of a paisley print intended with a strong floral motif.
Red
What does the colour red mean to you?
Traditionally red is a hot colour that has resembled love and passion. This is a highly emotional colour that has strong feelings for love and anger. The strength behind the hue also makes you feel powerful and symbolises courage.
What does red mean to you? When wearing a red swimsuit do you feel like you have power and strength?
Baby Blue
You might not see it at first but behind a number of the motifs we have incorporated a soft and gentle baby blue colour, this helps the red to really pop out and be the star of the show. Baby blue embraces the feeling of calm, the feeling of laying back and looking onto the baby blue sky with white puffy clouds rolling past.
Have you ever done a yoga class to find yourself sinking into a white puffy cloud in relaxation? To find your thoughts and feelings drifting away from you and your mind at peace? This is my favourite calming feeling, your heavy body just floating away.
This soft blue lets the deep red tone sink deep into its calm void, it is a base for a strong and powerful colour to balance.
White Based
If you read our ‘Spring Fling’ blog, you would know all about colours and the emotions they hold. A lot of our designs have been created on a white base, this is a pure and positive tone. It is a fresh clean slate, a canvas ready to be painted. If you are worried about wearing a white based swimsuit, at Nip Tuck Swim we have you covered!
